I debated for quite a while when I started this website about how I would handle comments on my posts. In the end, I was able to get comfortable with some basic controls that will ensure my clients and readers are not exposed to nutty internet commentators while allowing open and honest discussion. As of now, you can comment on recent (within 45 days) blog posts. Right now I do not have comments on news stories or listings. Here are a couple of constraints:

• All comments will be approved by me or my administrator prior to being visible to the public.
  • I get an email when a comment is made and can approve from my Blackberry. This should be minutes if not seconds.
• A few “choice” expletives will be edited out.
• Keep the comments on topic.
• No spamming!
